Australia & New Zealand Business Continuity Awareness Week
22nd – 26th March 2010
Proudly Sponsored by KPMG
Preparing for a disruption in business is a continuing challenge for all industries. The associated issues of business resilience will be addressed during the 2010 Business Continuity Awareness Week (BCAW). The theme of this eventful week is “Resilience over Uncertainty” and comprises of an international initiative where businesses are encouraged to conduct several initiatives throughout the week, aimed at promoting business continuity within their workplace.
In Australia and New Zealand, Continuity Forum is working to present a program of events to raise business continuity awareness locally. During 22-23 March, a series of kick off events are set to run in the Australian capital cities of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra; and in the New Zealand capital cities of Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington. In Australia, the various meetings in these cities will be run in collaboration with the local Australian Chapters of the Business Continuity Institute, as a joint event. More details on these meetings are noted below.
To complete the week, the Business Continuity Summit will take place in Sydney as a two-day joint conference with the Australasian Chapter of the BCI on 24-25 March 2010 which will be held at the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel. The Summit brochure will be made available soon.

- Update and reissue your Business Continuity Plans
- Refresh your own business continuity training
- Share your experiences and stories, attend a business continuity information exchange networking forum
